WTS Wins Best In Show at the 2020 NAMM Show!

Updated: Oct 3, 2022

We are very proud to announce that Welch Tuning Systems, Inc. was awarded Best In Show for Companies to watch at this winter's 2020 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California!

The million square feet of the NAMM campus was filled with many new and exciting products this year, particularly in the percussion sector. Many booths had some seriously interesting products that will be hitting the market this year and will certainly be making a difference in the music industry in the years to come.

The prestigious Best In Show awards ceremony took place on the final morning of the trade show. Moderated by Frank Alkyer, publisher of Music Inc. and UpBeat Daily magazines, a panel of industry experts "spotlighted products, services, and technologies" that stood out at this year's winter NAMM Show. Each Best In Show winner was introduced in one of four categories: Best Add-Ons and Accessories, Gotta Stock It, Companies to Watch, and the overall Best In Show.

Out of around 2,260 exhibitors, Welch Tuning Systems was 1 of 26 recognized for innovation and excellence at the Best In Show awards ceremony. Other percussion awardees included the classy leather cymbal bag from Tackle Instrument Supply Co. and Roland's innovative V-Drums Acoustic Design electronic drum sets. Both our company and the WTS Artistry Series™ drums were highlighted by Best In Show panelist Robert Christie of A & G Central Music. Robert gave a very poignant speech about the integrity, honesty, and drive of our CEO, Samuel Welch, as well as Samuel's dedication to working with retailers and creating a high-quality product.

Robert then went on to demonstrate the versatility of our WTS Artistry Series drums with a short demonstration. As he tuned one of our toms up and down, gasps could be heard throughout the 1000-person audience.

Robert Christie finished his Best In Show: Companies to Watch presentation with a prediction that buyers would likely be seeing the Welch Tuning System™ hardware adopted by many other well-known drum manufacturers in the near future.
