AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA
John J. Jammal II
Copper Chief

John is a solid and versatile drummer, whose love for music was evident at an early age. His classical training began at the age of ten, and by high school he was an all-state musician, as well as a member of several musical groups and ensembles. John continued his musical education at The University of Texas at Austin, eventually earning his minor is music. While in school, John began playing professionally, in and around Austin, with bands whose styles ranged from blues to rock and country.
After years of gigging in the "Red Dirt" scene, John was fortunate enough to build relationships with many talented Texas musicians. Through these musical bonds, Austin's own Copper Chief was born. Established in late 2015, Copper Chief has quickly become a band on everybody's must see list. From thunderous rhythm, to screaming guitar solos and killer harmonies, their live show draws its force straight from the rock gods of the 70’s. With one album under their belt, a stint on national TV and a much anticipated sophomore offering on the horizon, big things continue for this Austin foursome.
John is a resident of Lago Vista, TX, where he lives with his wife. He is currently endorsed by Soultone cymbals and is beyond excited to announce his partnership with WTS!
“…these are the drums I’ve always wanted that I never thought could exist. A true 1-turn tuning system. Combine that functionality with a beautiful appearance and insane sound, and it’s unlike anything you’ve played.”
