Andrew Marsh

Independent Artist

Raised in small town in the Appalachian foothills of Dalton, GA, Andrew Marsh’s diverse skill and innate determination has allowed him to carve out an expansive career as a world-class professional live and in-studio drummer. From the recording booth to Broadway, Marsh has performed with the likes of Grammy winning acts such as Chaka Khan, Brandford Marsalis, Esperanza Spalding, Roy Hargrove, Wyclef Jean, Billy Porter and The Color Purple on Broadway. In 2019, Marsh painstakingly designed and built his New York-based Andrew Marsh Pro Music (AMPM) Studios, which features an extensive gear and drum collection, and provides the epitome of live studio instrument recording with exceptional turn-around times. Marsh has been seen in New York Times, The Daily Citizen, Amtrak and Berklee.edu.

Andrew flourished with the support of his parents during his years playing in church and in the Dalton Middle and High School bands before touring as a DCI drumline musician for the Spirit of Atlanta in 1998. In 2002, Marsh graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Drum Set Performance. Cutting his teeth in the jazz clubs of Boston, he established himself amongst his musical peers and landed a residency at the historic Wally’s Café. Throughout his training, he has been blessed to receive stellar instruction from legendary drummers like John Ramsay, Rick Considine, Kenwood Dennard, Victor Mendoza, Ron Savage, Skip Hadden, Jackie Santos, Bob Tamagni, Steve Wilkes, Rod Morgenstein, Joe Hunt, and Eguie Castrillo.

Established on a foundation of excellence, AMPM Studios now provides top-of-the-line curated sound selection to its recording clients. Crafted with meticulous care and professionalism, AMPM Studios’ jaw-dropping collection of sought-after and vintage snare drums delivers the quintessential element of quality songs for music makers around the globe – the beat. "WTS is the Tesla of the drum industry. WTS drums are the true realization of innovation.

I have always desired an instrument that allowed me to achieve self contained perfection in tuning, effortless flexibility and top notch craftsmanship. WTS has been all of that and more. My productivity and the sound quality that my drums yield have gone through the roof both in the studio and on stage. They are also one heck of a conversation starter with sound engineers and other musicians because the design is so understated and elegant yet so incredibly effective and easy to operate. WTS drums have become an extension of my creativity.”
